We know how frustrating it is to be left without a car, if it’s stolen or isn’t drivable after an accident – especially if your business depends on it. We also know that there may be times when our car hire service providers don’t have the exact vehicle you need or will not allow you to use the vehicle for business purposes.

 

That’s why we’re excited to launch a new benefit, that gives you complete freedom and flexibility to source the ideal vehicle to suit your needs.

 

This optional benefit, called Car Hire: Loss of Use, is available to numerous business types (listed below). You can add it to your policy at any time and it will apply to all valid claims.

 

How it works

 

We’ll give you a cash pay-out so that you can hire the right car to suit your needs. Plus, you’ll have the option to select the number of days and rand value for daily car hire.

 

The terms and conditions

  • Insurance types: This benefit applies to Comprehensive and Third Party, Fire and Theft insurance.
  • Business types: This benefit applies to shuttle services, metered taxis, professional tour operators and guides, and driving schools.
  • Vehicle types: These include 3 to 10-ton trucks, motorbikes and trailers used for business purposes.
  • Number of car hire days: You can choose between 15, 30 or 45 days.
  • Rand value: This will depend on the class of vehicle.
