How our online car inspection tool works

All you need is a cellphone that takes decent photos, an internet connection, and about 15 minutes’ free time, and you can complete your own car inspection. Here’s how it works: 

Step 1

If you haven’t yet done so, register a Budget Insurance online profile using your personal and policy details. 

Step 2 

Once you’ve registered and are logged in to your profile, navigate to the section where you can manage your profile. From there, go to the car inspection page. 

Step 3

Simply follow our easy-to-understand guide through the process. You’ll be asked to upload photos of your car from different angles. Make sure the photos are clear. The best time to take them is during daylight so we can see your car clearly. While you’re at it, why not show off your wheels by giving your car a good clean before its photoshoot?

Step 4

You’ll be asked to make a note of any existing damage to your car and capture additional details like the mileage, any after-market car accessories you may have installed, and the details of your sound system. 

Step 5 

That’s it! You’ve officially completed your own car inspection.
