Roadside Assistance is made up of Accident Assist and Breakdown Assist. Accident Assist is included in your policy while Breakdown Assist can be added at a small additional monthly fee. Here are some of the benefits of each:

Accident Assist – If you’ve been in an accident and your car can’t be driven, we’ll send a reliable tow truck to take it to the nearest repairer and cover the cost of this. We’ll also pay for the storage fees for the first 72 hours as long as you use our authorised tow truck.

Breakdown Assist – If you run out of fuel, we’ll bring you enough so you can make it to the nearest petrol station. If you lock your keys in your car, we’ll unlock it for you. If your tyre bursts, we’ll change it. If your battery dies, we’ll jump start your car or help you get it home so you can store your car safely while you look for a new battery. For any of these situations, we’ll cover the call-out fee of a service provider plus one hour’s labour. 

Because breakdowns tend to happen at the most unfortunate times, like when you’re in the middle of the Karoo hundreds of kilometres away from home, we’ll find accommodation close to your location and pay for one night’s stay up to a certain limit. We’ll also pay to have your car towed to a repairer closer to home, so you can rest assured that your family and your car will be safe for the night.
